    Default changing databases

is switching to a different database as easy as updating the configure.php files or is there more to it than that? say i had my database setup perfectly and i backed it up but then someone accidentally deleted things from it and i just wanted to create a new database, insert my backed up data into it and then link zen cart to that

    thanks

That should work. Create the new database, load the information into it and change the database name, user and password in the configure.php files.

If you installed modules that added or amended tables/fields to the original database, then its better to create a new EMPTY database and import the backup into that - as long as the backup will CREATE the tables before populating them...
