    xhtml problem Sorting Option Values

    Howdy,

I'm building a store in which the only product attribute necessary is "Size". I've created an attribute named "Size" and have added a long list of all possible/potential sizes as values.

The idea being that when adding the Size attribute to a T-shirt for example, the values X-Small through X-Large can be chosen to display for that product. If adding a shoe for example, values 5, 5.5, etc. through 11 can be chosen. If European, then EU sizes are chosen. You get the idea. I should mention that I installed the add on for selecting multiple values at once.

I manually assigned sort order numbers to each of these values starting with 0 for "Please select a size" and going through 37.

The problem I'm having is that even though I hold down the Ctrl key and select each value in the order I want them to appear in the drop down list (on the product page), they in actuality appear randomly in the list.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Many thank yous in advance!

I should also say that the values in the Option Value drop down menu in the "Adding New Attributes" section found in Admin>Catalog>Attributes Controller are randomly listed as well.

I just realized I put this in the wrong forum. My apologies! Can someone put it where it belongs in the Attributes Forum? Sorry for the hassle! Thanks!

Go to the Catalog ... Option Value Sorter ...

Pick the Option Name that you want to sort the Option Values ...

Set the Sort Order values, I like to use 10, 20, 30, 40 etc. ...

If you do this on all Option Names, then you can use it as needed ...

Now, you can apply these Default Sort Orders to all of your Products ...

In the future, on a new product, once the attributes are added, you can Update the Sort Order ...

    Hi.
Just following on from this thread, can you apply the Default Sort Order to all of your Products in one go, rather than having to do it individually?

    Thanks

    Yes you can ...

Get all of your Default Sort Orders set ... then go to the Store Manager to apply the update to ALL Attributes on your Products ...
