I just had this same thing happen and mine says -3 and disabled the product but allowed it to go through for the customer without letting them know that it was out of stock after they ordered 3. I only edited how many I had in stock on the product not the min/max. I left that at the default. I never had this happen before now. One thing I was wonder was if this was because the customer used a gift certificate, would it make it not work right? Either way I would like to fix this so I don't have to email my customers back in disappointment that they won't be able to get the product they ordered.
