admin is not applying changes /updates?

Hi
Please help
I a trying to add one more ezpage, after filling in the thing when i click on insert nothing happens, also i tried updating few setting in admin>configuration>links manager, its not taking , i noticed admin section is not updating any thing? why is that happening? plz help

That's a classic symptom of applying the June 2009 admin security patch but not putting all 5 files in their correct places. Remember: ALL the files are ADMIN-specific, so should appear in their respective folders under your (renamed) admin folder. They should NOT have been put in the non-admin folders.
