Customer chooses wrong payment - how can I let them come back and pay again?

Hello,

I get customers who tick COD when they should be making a card payment, COD being only for local delivery.
When I explain, they go back to make a card payment, but they invariably order the same item again and pay for it, and I wondered if there was a way they could go back and pay for the item they originally bought?

if the product is the same why not just delete the original order from Admin?
