Output XML

Hi,

I'm using Zen Cart 1.2.8a. I'm trying to add some AJAX to my templates, by creating a template that just returns XML. I have the XML, but I don't know how to bypass the usual template decoration process so I get pure XML without any HTML. I've truncated all of the overridden template files, but the final closing html tag is coming from somewhere, so clearly truncating the template files isn't enough or isn't the right way to do it. Can someone help?

Came up with a solution. I've created a directory in the shop root called e.g. ajax, then created my PHP file, but first I chdir to the root and include includes/application_top. As long as I set an appropriate Content-Type header and secure the file, then things work fine.
