Hi All,
I have what I suspect is a unique problem
Last week one of my boxes began to have issues displaying php files. This happened at 2:00 am and I got the call from one of our Zencart clients. We have several stores on this particular box.
I got right on it and found through the error codes the PHP was unable to write to the Box, I was convinced it was a caching problem, no matter what I did I could not find it, so I submitted a support ticket to our Co host, they checked into it and advised me it a was an issue with Cpanel, I knew better but didn't argue. The solution they came up with, without consulting me was to reinstall Cpanel. This failed
They ended up bringing a Cpanel tech in who found the problem in 30 sec's it was the security log file for a newly installed Clam AV had grown to 2 gig and could no longer be written to. Big laughs, then the problems began.
Every file in every domain on that box had it's permissions reset to 644 because of the reinstall of the Cpanel.
I have spent the last 72 hours non stop going through every storefront on the box and manually re setting the file and folder permissions, however I want to recheck everything for my clients. Some coders have written a script that will set permissions for you, is it possible the same has been done for Zencart?
