Is there a way to determine what session the center box is in?

Something zen_get_???

When I am in the product list in the main page, or the Shipping & Return page, etc.

Where do I look to get the current page information or status?

I am not sure how to explain this.

$current_page_base will have the name of the current page, which is the "main_page=xxxx" in the address bar.

Maybe when you explain what you are trying to do, someone can answer your question. I am sure you dont wanna know what the name of the current page is.

Unless you've somehow turned off or disabled the breadcrumbs, you should see something like this just below your header and above the center contents when you're on your shipping and returns page
