I haven't got the hang of Zone Shipping at all. I want 3 zones, all based on Weight, say Zone 1 for UK (where I live), with a shipping charge of £0.00 for any weight (i.e., free), Zone 2 for European countries, and Zone 3 for Rest of the World. I've worked through the Tutorial 'How do I set up the Zones Shipping Module', and don't have any problem with understanding that. I HAVE DONE NO OTHER CONFIGURATION (is that where I'm going wrong, perhaps?).
Under Admin/Modules/Shipping I've set Zone Rates to True, Cal. Method to Weight, (no Tax), No Skip Countries. In Zone 1 Countries, I've entered 'UK' only and in Zone 1 Shipping Table I've entered '999:0.00', and entered nothing for Handling Fee. In Zone 2 I've entered a long list of European Country codes, 'AL,AD,AM,AT,AZ,BY,BE.....', in Zone 2 Shipping Table I've entered '0.2:1.82,0.4:2.99,0.6:4.09......', with no Handling Fee. For Zone 3 I've done the same as Zone 2, but with different codes and rates, of course. As I've said, I've done no other configuration anywhere else.
My problem is that when checking out (and purchasing an item within the weight range), I get the old chestnut "Zone Rates (The shipping rate cannot be determined at this time)". My guess is that it's something to do with Zen Cart not knowing the shipping destination, perhaps? The only way that I can see that Zen Cart might know this is based on the drop-down list of countries for the address of the logged-in user. Is there more to it?
I have spent seven painful hours with this now - please help!
Using:
Zen Cart Zen Cart 1.3.8a
Database Patch Level: 1.3.8
Plus a template which I downloaded off the web ('Rustic')
