Idea or Suggestion Strange Happenings on IE7

    Hi,

I have ZC v1.3.8a and getting ready to put my site 'live' - its down for maintenance now as I have been prepping it for 'action'.

Anyway, I went to check the site in IE7 (I use and love FF) but I know that IE7 will also be used on the site by customers.

I use the color 00008b (its a darker blue) for my navCatTabsWrapper (yes - i do use them[and love them!], however I noticed that in IE7, the blue color from my navCatTabsWrapper comes all the way donw into the centerColumn and the tops of both my side columns.... then if you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and back up again, it goes away.

Then if you scroll down again, the blue returns and then goes away again. What gives?

I assume this is simply an issue with the stylesheet and my not having some proper code in there to deal with IE7s shortcomings compared to FF.

    Any suggestions? Thank you.
    Thank you,
    autoace

Especially with questions like this, we'll need a link to your site.

Sorry, about that, here you go:
    http://www.a u t o m o t i v e a c e.com

Again, everything seems fine in FF, but in IE7 there is something strange happening with the blue in navCatTabsWrapper (or so it seems).

    Please advise and thank you.

Please NOTE: The site is currently down for maintenance as I am not quite ready yet to accept sales, still preparing to go 'live'.

As such, however, the "strange happenings" still show up in 'down for maintenance' mode. So please take a look. Sometimes you have to F5 to refresh and 'reset the IE7 effects' ... if you will.

Again, thanks for all help and suggestions. I have to step out of the office for a bit but I will be back later today. Thank you.
    Thank you,

Part of getting your site ready is validating your code: http://validator.w3.org << excellent online validator.

    <form name="quick_find_header" action="http://www.automotiveace.com

    ...

    <div class="back"><input type="image" src="includes/templates/2009AA/buttons/english/button_search.gif" alt="Search" title="Search" /></form></div><br class="clearBoth" /></div>

Always god to validate your code, even if not having problems.

Good advice, I am working on that now.

Please do explain the above error, I really have no idea how to fix the above error. Thank you.

The error is found in the code for you Search, at the top of the page.

I had presumed you coded / customized the template yourself? If not then start with this file:
    includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_header.php

Thank you Website Rob for the info. All I did to make my own template was create the necessary override folders and do some CSS styling tweaks (quite a few in fact). I also have a good number of addons.

Anyway thanks for the info and the good advice
    Thank you,

Looking at your original reply to my post, it looks as though these closing tags: </form></div> should be reversed; according to the order of the opening tags.

So instead of </form></div> it should be </div></form> - would you agree?

    Thank you for your help
    Thank you,

    Yes, I would agree.

I was only pointing out the error, not the solution.
