Index not opening site after host moved me to new server

My host has been recently purchased by another company. During migration from the old server to the new one my site has become completely screwed up. The tech service of the new host company is completelty useless & offers differing & opposing answers depending on who you speak with. Files were lost & settings changed. I am in the process of fixing these problems & have hit a new snag. When I try to open the site on the web I get an error 404 page not found error. The URL in the address bar is as follows http://www.wyverncreations.com/zc_install/index.php
How can I get this straightened out as the index & catalog are located in the root folder of the site, not the sub folder zc_install. I'm stuck

Wow. I would be cracking with your web host and demanding that they install it all and get it working for you.

They have a level of responsibility in regards to your website.
I have worked for a web host and similar has happened and we had to solve the problem.

I would be documenting all conversations and how much time it is taking you to resolve and how much money you are losing.

If you mention this they may get to fix this problem for you.

As for your issue:

How are you trying to transfer the site?

Install zen cart then migrate database and other files?

404 error is saying there is no such file called index in that location.

I would install it where you can for now and then look on how to move to root in the zen cart forums. (IF you cant install it in the root)

/zc_install/ is the location of the installation routine. It should not be called when navigating to the site, and may indicate that your configure.php files are missing or corrupt. (When the initiating code determines that certain files are not present, it looks for the installer to start a new installation.)

Are you trying to do a clean install ?

just for a test, goto your website, then delete zc_install from the web address, see if your website loads...

actually, just done this and it works if u delete zc_install

so might be something to do with the configure file.
