    Default Help With Shipping Module

This shipping concept is the most confusing thing I have ever seen. I for the life of me can't figure out how I am suppoed to set up the shipping method I want.

I want free shipping for orders over $50 except to Alaska and Hawaii. Under $50 will be a flat rate shipping of $7.95. Hawaii and Alaska will have flat rate + $25 Surcharge.

Can someone please help with this delima.

Make two Zones, one for the US without Alaska and Hawaii and one for Alaska and Hawaii ...

Use the Free Shipping Options freeoptions and set the Total >= 50.00 and the Zone to your US 48 ...

Clone the Flat Rate flat shipping module to something like:
    flatalaskahawaii

NOTE: for info on cloning Flat Rate do a search on:
    clone flat
    clone item

    for examples ...

Add the US 48 Zone to Flat Rate flat shipping module and set the rate to 7.95 ...

Add the Alaska and Hawaii Zone to your cloned Flat Rate shipping module and set the rate to 7.95 and the Handling to 25.00 ...

Now the US 48 folks will see either the $7.95 or the $0.00 on orders of $50.00 or more and the $7.95 ...

If you do not want to show the $7.95 as an option to the US 48 on orders over $50.00 ... you can customize the Flat Rate flat shipping module further to disable it on orders over 50.00 ...

Default Re: Help With Shipping Module

I know this is not a reply but I am trying to post a question and have searched and searched for a way to do this . . . I know it seems obvious but I can't figure it out.

I am trying to set up a shipping module for FedEx. Is this possible? We already have the USPS module. I cannot seem to find any reference to FedEx anywhere in the FAQ or posts.

    Thanks for any help.

You might try a search in the Free Software Add Ons for FedEx and then check the Contribution threads on them ...
