Not Able to customize Cart?

Ok so i have searched the forums everywhere for this problem, seems like i am the only one to have this problem. so I just installed a new cart (www.hidguy.net) And i went into the admin area. the problem is i am not able to update any of the cart. I go into Define Pages Editor pull up a page edit that page and press update and it takes me back to the main page of the admin panel. But my site shows no change. I go back in to the define page editor pull the same page i just tried to edit and it shows as if i never even edited it. Is there a bug that is making it do this? i also tried to change the store name/store owners name, etc and it does the samething. I am able to update most the visual stuff by ftp. But how am i need to add products and what not and edit customer info. So anyone have this problem also?

Sounds like you installed the June 2009 admin security patch but put one or more of the updates in the non-admin area instead of the admin area, or didn't apply changes for all 5 admin files.
The symptoms you describe are classic of such an error.

so what do you think i should do? go through delete my whole cart and start fresh again?

Ahh sweet! I figured out the problem. either my security page was corrupted or something. All i did was reload the security page overwrote the old files and bam all good to go. thanks drbyte!
