So Many Steps For Checkout Process / Sign Up and Checkout????

Why is there more steps during checkout or sign up /checkout process than the majority of other eomerce sites/sytems. Is there a way to shorten the amount of steps on Zen Cart. I have had a search and read a few things but not got to a complete solution as of yet. Also - I have the 'Fast & Easy Checkout' module installed but its still an extra couple of steps we dont need. Currently were only using payPal as the payment method... Any help much appreciated

Well, I think there are three steps to checkout.
checkout shipping
checkout payment
checkout confirmation
Which doesn't seem too extravagant but I think there is a mod that puts these all on one page.

If it is the log in process that bothers you then there is a mod that allows checkout without an acoount I think it is called 'Checkout without an Account' or COWAA.

Finally it is pretty easy to monitor where people are leaving the shop with an analytics program. Personally, I have never seen a problem with the three page checkout on my sites. People seem to know that they have to provide shipping information, they know they need to pay and the confirmation is useful....

we're getting a lot of negative feedback about customers "having to create an account". The checkout without an account seems like a good idea, but I can't find the mod.
Any clues?
