Desription Paragraph

I am trying to add a sort of disclaimer to all of my zen carts, thousands of pages. Now is there an easier way to add a product description paragraph at the bottom of every page in the stores without having to do this page by page? Maybe a database insert by wide spread method and if so how can i do this.

Using your templates and overrides you could just add it to the tpl_product_info_display.php where you want it to show ...

Or, if you needed it everywhere you could add it to the footer in the tpl_footer.php ...

I like the first solution on the product page insert. If I want it just under the product info where would i look at in that tpl file to find this? And will this do it across the whole system or just that 1 page? If so then solution #2 is the way i really need a just a one paragraph insert into the footer.

To place it on the One page for the product_info page, you would customize the:
tpl_product_info_display.php

in your templates and overrides ...

If you do not have that file in your templates and overrides, you would get the original from:
/includes/templates/templates_default/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php

then copy that to your templates and overrides directory:
/includes/templates/your_template_dir/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php

To place it on ALL pages of your site would be the footer:
/includes/templates/templates_default/common/tpl_footer.php

and use your templates and overrides for that:
/includes/templates/your_template_dir/common/tpl_footer.php

okay now i unserstand thank you so much. One more thing will this only show on the product pages or the whole site?

If you put it in the footer template ... then you will see it on ALL pages ...

If you put it in the product_info template file, then you will see it on only ONE page ...

So there is no true way of just placing the disclamer on the site without going page by page in the products only then.

Work with me here ... maybe I am not explaining this clearly ...

The FOOTER is displayed on ALL pages of your site ... if you want this on ALL pages of your site, add it to the FOOTER ...

The product_info is the detail page of your Products ... if you ONLY want this on the product_info then you put it in that template and it will NOT show on ALL pages and ONLY show on the product_info for your Products ...

When Linda referred to "one page" in her explanations above, she meant one type of page, or perhaps more clearly, one particular code page, in this case your product_info page. The product_info code page is one part of the set of code pages which go together to display all of your products, one by one, each on its own rendered page in the browser.

[And having tried to clarify this myself, I'm beginning to get the feeling I'm sinking in quick sand. ]
