    Default redirects problem

    hi,
With IIS there's now a new SEO toolkit that can analysis your site for seo violations and much more.
My question is how to gett rid of to many redirections since they negatively influence your rankings?

    The link to "http://www.afro-masks.com/index.php?main_page=page_4&zenid=66bae2e84f7744724c0616a191607e05"
has resulted in HTTP redirection to "http://www.afro-masks.com/page_4.html?zenid=66bae2e84f7744724c0616a191607e05".

Search engines can only pass page rankings and other relevant data through a single redirection hop. Using unnecessary redirects can have a negative impact on page ranking.

This is only one piece of a large report with over 8000 redirection violations.

Do you have links that contain the zenID??
    &zenid=66bae2e84f7744724c0616a191607e05
    This
    Code:
    http://www.afro-masks.com/index.php?main_page=page_4&zenid=66bae2e84f7744724c0616a191607e05
    Should only be
    Code:
    http://www.afro-masks.com/index.php?main_page=page_4
Might need to check & adjust
    admin > config > sessions > settings

    Waarde Actie
    Session Directory /home/a8033afr/public_html/cache
    Cookie Domain True
    Force Cookie Use False
    Check SSL Session ID False
    Check User Agent False
    Check IP Address True
    Prevent Spider Sessions False
    Recreate Session True
IP to Host Conversion Status true

What should I change here, "recreate sessions"?

Shouldn't I handle it with 301 redirects in my .htaccess file?

That would not be my choice - too many
You need to determine if a zenid is being appended to your links & why, as it was when I first visited your page.
A few refreshes and they were gone
I would try the alternate for recreate sessions
Also search here for that to see the explanations from those like Ajeh and DrByte about this

I've changed these settings to this as Dr Byte advises

    Cookie Domain = True
    Force Cookie Use = False
Check SSL Session ID = False
    Check User Agent = False
    Check IP Address = False
    Prevent Spider Sessions = True
    Recreate Session = True
IP to Host Conversion Status = true

Will these zenid's now dissapear out of the search engines?
    How long would that take?
