Default Move DB with overide files

I've been working on a Zen site for the last few weeks, every time I've been stuck the search button in here has come to my rescue, but not this time.
So I need to ask the question, I move all the overide files to my site, how do I move the DB. I know were it is on my WAMP system (in mysql/data) but don't know were to put in on the host. Site is not loaded yet, intend to do it next week.
    thanks in advance.

The normal way to move a database is to back it up in the original location (e.g. using a tool such as phpMyAdmin) and restore it to the new one.

If you have more sophisticated database management tools such as sqlYog or NavCat you can open connections to the old and the new databases and synchronise them.

Thanks Kuroi, had a feeling you might say that. I have Navcat which is superb piece of software so I will use that. Do I take it the DB on the server is not accesable directly...ie copy & past then?

Well ultimately a database is just a collection of files sitting on a hard disk. But what you would see as a database is just a subset of the wider MySQL database into which they are integrated.

If you have access to those files (which on a shared server you wouldn't) you can identify those that make up your database. However, that's the easy bit. The much more difficult bit would be then hooking those files into the rest of the MySQL database so that you can access the contents. That's why we have tools like Navicat.
