If you've enabled a Zen Cart feature in the Admin and it doesn't show in the template, that can somethimes mean that you don't have any data to display in that feature. That's unlikely for new products as Zen Cart defaults to display everything as new until you tell it what time period you'd like to set. So more likely in this case is that the template author has hacked the code so that some core Zen Cart features are deliberately or accidentally disabled. You'd need to talk to them about that.
Similarly, it's not possible for us to make anything other than wild guesses as to why the template when installed doesn't display as per the screenshot provided. This doesn't look like any of the templates available from this site, so there's no support thread for it here. I'd again recommend going back to where you got it from and asking the question there.
