Multiple Images will not display

Help!! I have looked through the tutorial on how to add multiple product images and tried the steps and am still not having any success. I have read the posts on similiar issues and cannot resolve the issue! I am running Zen 1.3.8a. I am using the Sage Template. I am naming my products with the same base name, uploading them to the images directory and naming subsequent images as name_01 etc. I have created corresponding _LRG images for each of them as well. In my cart, only the last image I load shows up? I have enabled the multiple images in admin. I would love any help!

You must add the product with the first image named "product_image.jpg" only once with the admin tool. The other images named

"product_image_01.jpg"
"product_image_02.jpg"
...

must be uploaded with a ftp client to the image folder. Do not add them to your product with the zencart admin interface!!

Alternatively, try Imagehandler 2, which has a built in functionality for optimizing the size of your images. You only add the large images to your product and the medium and small sizes are created automatically. This tool has also a menu for adding multiple images to a product. Read the documentation.

I tried transferring the addidional image with ftp and it still did not work. I transferred them to the same directory with the base images. Any other suggestions? Thanks
