UPS Shipping Problem

Hello, I'm new to zen cart.
zen gives a correct quote from the shipping estimate button but in the checkout area, the UPS rate is over 4.5 time higher.

Can anyone help? the cart version is 1.3.8a

UPS wants the XML request and response files associated with the error...and I can't find those either...

Are you using the default UPS shipping module that comes with Zen Cart?

What Ship From and Ship To addresses are you using?

What weight are you testing?

What are your settings in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... are you using?

Thanks for jumping in...this is driving me nuts...and I read in another thread where zen may not accept dimensional rates?

As far as I know...I didn't set up ups shipping

What Ship From and Ship To addresses are you using?

both address are in California about 20 miles apart, from zip 92867 to zip 92020. UPS works ok when only one package is involved but using two and shipping jumps to over $90 in the cart while the shipping estimator quotes slightly over $12

What weight are you testing?
14 lbs but the carts seems to adds the 2 boxes and quotes 1 dimension at Length: 40 Width: 40 Height: 16...enough to move to dimensional rates with ups

What are your settings in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... are you using?

Of the 10 choices....It looks like this...I've tried all settings for show package and size they all give the same results

UPS that comes with Zen Cart does not do dimensions ...

Could you look in the Modules ... Shipping ... and see what Shipping Modules are installed?

Next to the name of the Shipping module is the filename such as:
Per Unit perweightunit

Any of the Shipping Modules that are not being used, should be REMOVED instead of just disabled ...

I cannot reproduce different shipping prices in the Shipping Estimator vs the checkout_shipping ...

Where are you seeing dimensions? Nothing in Zen Cart, by default, is going to show dimensions ...

If any of your Shipping Modules that you are actually using have Sort Orders, be sure that they are unique ...

It's on the shopping carts contents page...
Right now it only lists weight. When I activated Per Unit, the combined package size was listed

Do you have the URL to your site that we could perhaps peek at and the quantities and products_id numbers that you are adding to your order?

the cart is ok with one product but when 2 (86-100, 81-100 are the two I've been testing with) are added, UPS goes wrong
