Default /nddbc.html < Unable to view website

    Hi there
I have just tried to log into my website..
and have found that it has a connection error.
when typing the domain name in - an error screen appears..
and our domain name is followed by this > nddbc.html

And a zen cart message appears saying the following :

    "Sorry!
There seems to be a problem connecting to our database. Please give us a few minutes to remedy the problem. Thank you."

Can anybody help us - as we have never had this happen before.
    We are so confused
    Any information would be appreciated!
    Kind Regards,

The problem is just what the error tells you - you can not connect to your database - What have you changed recently?
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

It means that when Zen Cart was trying to connect to your database where your store data is kept, it couldn't. So, it means exactly what it says.
Talk to your hosting company to find out what's wrong with your database.

I dont really understand as we paid someone to set up our website, and we are new to zen cart. So does this mean there is a problem with the hosting company, or is it something we have done... And can it be resolved by us or will we be relying on the person who set up the website to get us back online.
    Thankyou

I can't answer that question for you.

It could be a problem with something on the server run by the hosting company.
It could be something wrong with the files on your server, as managed/controlled/edited by you and/or whomever you paid to set up your site.
Maybe you have something else on your site that's vulnerable to hackers and they've damaged something on your site?

If you paid someone to set it up for you and it's not working, you probably should be asking *them* to sort it out.

Usual story once the website is finished he is now no where to be seen. Im not sure even who is hosting our website, so hard to know where the problem lies.
completley stuck with any ideas of what to do next.
Is there any virus protection that comes with the zen package?? Im confused by the fact someone could of hacked in.
    Is the website retrievable ?

Sounds like you need to do some quick education on how websites work, what is FTP and how to transfer files to and from your server (esp for making backups, as well as your own edits), and how to access MySQL databases and make backups, etc.

As for who's hosting your website, surely you have an invoice somewhere from someone you paid for website services? And probably usernames/passwords associated with those services?
If not, it sounds like you've been taken for a ride ...
