I think what Ajeh was asking was ... when you add JUST your GV product to the cart and then start checkout, do you see the checkout_shipping page? or does it skip it?

The idea is to attempt to rule out how you've got the product configured, vs being something *else* wrong on your site.
If it's not skipping the shipping page, then it's not seeing it as a GV, which suggests that it's not properly seeing that the model has "GIFT" as prefix for some reason.

... which begs the question about installed addons, changes to ot_gv.php code, etc etc etc

    Hello Doc,

right i add product to cart:

?main_page=checkout (where i put in my card details)

then it goes to this page:
    ?main_page=fec_confirmation (processing payement page)

    then it goes through to:
?main_page=checkout_success (success page, gives order no.)

this is the standard journey of our checkout.

to the best of my knowledge the ot_gv code hasn't been changed, and i can't see any module code that has been added to this.

    regards

    Andy.

And, what happens if you use the normal built-in checkout flow instead of using an addon?

    Hi Doc,

not being familar with our checkout mod as it was installed before i arrived, i'm not entirely sure how to disable it however. Would it be better if i pm'ed you some screenshots of the process?

or maybe if i knew the bit of code that added the coupons to queues i could simply add this the processing page?

    regards

    Andy.

The queuing of GV purchases is done in the ot_gv.php module, which works fine in a clean unaltered install of Zen Cart v1.3.8a.

But if you've got something in your FEC addon that's interrupting the normal handling of OT modules, then you'll have to get the FEC support people to help you. Have you looked in that addon's support thread for related issues? At the very least they should be able to tell you how to turn their stuff off (even in the addon's readme docs you'll likely find that info). And I wouldn't be surprised based on your comments that the code you're using for that addon is likely very old vs many bugfixes they've done.

    Hi Doc,
