    Default Updating database problems

    Hi,

I have a zen cart shop and I have manged to export the database and import it onto another demo site. The demo site admin now says this at the top

"Your database appears to need patching to a higher level. See Tools->Server Information to review patch levels."

I went to the zc_install to update the date base and then I get this

    "ATTENTION: Problems Found

    * Admin Password required to proceed with upgrade more info..."

However the password is fine and I can login to the admin area with it ok.

Before I got to this stage in the zc_install it said this

    "ATTENTION: Problems Found
ERROR - Cannot proceed until problems are resolved.

    * /admin/includes/configure.php does not exist more info...
    * store configure.php is not writeable more info..."

    Can anyone help?

I just want to update the database

    Thanks

When you go to Admin->Tools->Server Info, what does it say about your Zen Cart versions?

On the demo site (newest) it says

    Zen Cart 1.3.8a

    The older site is

    Zen Cart 1.3.7.1

I exported the data from the old site and imported into the new (demo)

The database specified in your /includes/configure.php file is the one used to validate the admin user whose name and password you enter in the db-upgrade screen.
So, either your /includes/configure.php database name/user/password/prefix details are wrong or you've entered the wrong admin username/password.

Thank you.. the configure file was the issue. There was no password or user name in there. So I just added it.

    I did get this

    ATTENTION: Problems Found

    * NOTE: Skipped upgrade statements: 3
See details at bottom of page for your inspection.
(Details also logged in the "upgrade_exceptions" table.)
Note: In most cases, these failed statements can be ignored,
as they are indications that certain settings may have already been set on your site.
If all the suggested upgrade steps have been completed (no recommendations left),
you may proceed to Skip Upgrades and continue configuring your site. more info...

At the bottom there is a list:

SKIPPED: Cannot create table nochex_apc_transactions because it already exists
SKIPPED: Cannot create table nochex_sessions because it already exists
SKIPPED: Cannot create table nochex_sessions because it already exists
SKIPPED: Cannot create table nochex_sessions because it already exists
SKIPPED: Cannot create table nochex_sessions because it already exists
SKIPPED: Cannot ALTER or INSERT/REPLACE into table linkpoint_api because it does not exist. CHECK PREFIXES!

I presume these are all ok and I can ignore these??

    Thank you
