SSL and Dedicated IP

I just got my Dedicated IP from my hosting company and am about to get my SSL - only problem is: I do not know how to implement them!

I read the tutorial here on "Enabling SSL" but I do not know how the SSL and Dedicated IP come together?

Please help! Thank you.

NOTE: I have not done this before so the 'play by play' would be extremely helpful!

After you bought the SSL certificate you will get your certificate from the vendor.

This certificate has to be installed on your hosting. If you have plesk it is easy just click on the certificate icon and fill out the required fields.

If you have to use another controlpanel then look at the manual for them they have a similar interface.

Then you follow the SSL tutorial and everything should work like a charm.

You are correct, I just looked at my control panel and everything is pretty self explanatory. Does not look too difficult - even for a newbie like me! Thanks for your quick reply.

in the /includes/configure.php

change

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.yourdomain.com');
define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://secure.yourdomain.com');

// Use secure webserver for checkout procedure?
define('ENABLE_SSL', 'true');

change the https server to whatever urs is and enable_ssl to true
