Remove categories from top of page

I am using 1.3.8a classic template, and there is no longer a Layout settings under Configuration in the Admin panel. I would like to remove categories from top of page and also change the Column right status-global to remove right side menus

Is there any particular reason that your Admin is missing things from the Configuration menu that you are aware of?

My web host told me that the layout button was droped on the upgrade.
So far I have found part of it in style sheet and commented it out. It still shows up on mouse over, so there must be more.

In your Admin, what happens if you go to the URL:
http://www.your_domain_naim.com/admi...ion.php?gID=19

NOTE: if in a subdirectory, be sure to change that to:
http://www.your_domain_naim.com/your...ion.php?gID=19

My web host just repaired problem. I emailed them this link
