have you looked where the text is telling you it's located? includes/languages/english/index.php or an override copy of that file?

I'm having the same trouble. When I edit includes/languages/english/index.php the site does not change, and I don't know where is the "override copy of that file"

I've been scrounging around all the files and admin functions I can find, and am getting no closer to solving how to set up my home page.

    I'm using pure_blue theme.

You don't edit index.php to change the copy on your main page. It's includes/languages/english/html_includes/define_main_page.php. Save the edited file to your override folder.

Actually, it was located in includes/languages/english/pure_blue/index.php
