Google is Indexing my site in other currencies than the Default! Help.

Hi,

I am running Zen-cart 1.3.7 for a while now with no issues, it's great.

Last month I had 2 customers email me advising that the website was showing in other currencies then the default?
I since then noticed on the who's online feature that google is indexing pages in other currencies then my default??

That is a MAJOR problem for me as customers will think I am in another country and not buy off me when they come to my site from Google.

What can I do?

Would deleting all the other available currencies but the default from the admin currencies section solve the problem? that way if they click on a Google link that is in another currency to come to my site, then my site will have no choice but to show them the only default currency available?

Or is there another solution?

I have done nothing different in the store since ages, so It is does becuase I did something.

Any urgent help would be greatly appreciated.

I suspect that if you're not selling in any other currencies, then that's probably the smartest and fastest and easiest approach.

There are other ways, but those would require custom coding and knowledge of HTTP redirects and PHP conditional logic etc. If you're not selling in other currencies, there's not really a need for the custom coding approach.

Thanx, I have done that already.
I just went to the 'who's online' and can still see google indexing lots of pages with the other currencies, weird!

Just wondering, WHY is this happening to me?
Or is this happening to everyone?
Are all Zen-Cart shop owners doing the same?

I mean, I have several other websites..should I expect the same thing to happen to them as well?

Hi,
It's me again. I have done the above and deleted all other currencies yet Google is still indexing my pages with other currencies!!

I checked in Google Webmaster Tools, it says I have duplicate pages! This is due to Google indexing the same pages in different currencies!!

I'm sure this will of course hurt my ranking!

Could you please advise me o what to do?
