How do i get rid of ZC's header and footer?

I have just installed ZC fro the first time ever.
Version: 1.3.8
Pretty slick!

Now all I need to do is visually integrate it into my site.
I built our site as modular as my abilities allow (in PHP), and the easiest way to do integrate ZC would be to just use it's content areas (presumably, divs), and leave the branding (header) and footer areas in the waste bin.

Is there a way to do this without breaking the whole shopping cart?

NOTE: I did poke around, but still need a little direction.

The usual, common, general, stated-many-times answer to all these sorts of questions is, No. Zen Cart is not designed to be taken apart and used piecemeal.

Having said that, you seem to be able to do PHP yourself, so have a go at it. And be sure to tell us how it goes.

That's a good looking site. You could recreate that look within Zen Cart, using EZpages for your static content, and you'd be all set to go.

You'll find that the tpl_header.php and tpl_footer.php files located in your /includes/templates/name_of_your_custom_template/common/ folder are where you can control the content of the header/footer sections of the page.
