    Default Help with editing php files

    To make changes I keep seeing stuff like this: open the includes/languages/ENGLISH/index.php file

    Any idea where I find these files they are referring to? I assume I have to put something in front of: includes/languages/ENGLISH/index.php

    I know this is very basic but I am truly confused as to where to start. I see all kinds of info on editing php but no where does it tell me where to go to start editing the stuff, ie: where to find the files to edit.

    The files are on your hosting account server. You access them using an FTP program like Filezilla or (my choice) the FireFTP plugin for Firefox.

    Once you've downloaded the file you want to edit, you'll open it in a text editor (I use Notepad and Notepad ++), make your changes, then upload the file back to the server.

    Always a good idea to set up your CUSTOM template before editing stuff:
