Easypopulate - Timing Out

I finally got my Easy Populate loaded after many tedious hours racking my brain. Now it's installed and set up. But I've got a new problem (they just don't cease to end, it seems lol!) no matter what I set my "Split File on # Records" to, it keeps timing out. The file size of the feeds document is 6.39MB. Naturally it's not gonna upload as a whole file so I use the Split EP option. But still times out.
I was wondering if it's possible to break the document down into multiple documents (ie doc1.txt, doc2.txt etc) and input them separately without disrupting the data.
