Need help with Tiered Pricing

I would like to set up a pricing structure that has different tiered pricing for different customers for the same product.

Example:

Customer A - quantity 1 - 10 $5.00 / item
quantity 11 - 20 $4.00 / item
quantity 21 + $3.00 / item

When Customer A purchases a quantity of 25 they are charged

for quantity 1 - 10 $50.00
for quantity 11 - 20 $40.00
for quantity 21 - 25 $15.00

The total price for Customer A for a quantity of 25 would be $105.00

Customer B would be charged a different set of prices for the same product.


Customer B - quantity 1 - 10 $6.00 / item
quantity 11 - 20 $5.00 / item
quantity 21 + $2.00 / item

When Customer B purchases a quantity of 25 they are charged

for quantity 1 - 10 $60.00
for quantity 11 - 20 $50.00
for quantity 21 - 25 $10.00

The total price for Customer B for their quantity of 25 would be $120.00

Any help with how to set this up in Zen Cart would be greatly appreciated.

You can have quantity discounts in zencart for different prices when customers buy more products and on top of that you can have a group discount for special customers that can be added on top of the quantity discount. Have a look at the tutorials about both topics.

Neither group pricing nor quantity discounts would achieve the result that mbgatmerc is seeking. (Neither would my Quantity Discounts contribution either.) You would have to write software to do this. You would really also have to write software to manage the list of per customer prices if this was to be done for more than a few customers and products.

I will avoid "spinning my wheels" and seek a different pricing solution that is supported within ZC.
