Due to zen cart not being able to ship from different locations, is there a way to have the page that would normally give you the price on the shipping to say something along the lines of "Due to the location of our different warehouses we will send you a shipping quote within 24 hours?"

You could edit the name and text of the Store Pickup module to do that, but unless you're selling products that aren't available elsewhere or are large or heavy, I can't imagine many customers waiting for a shipping quote.

You should always make it easy and convinient for customers (simple and transparent shipping rates) so that they dont have doubts whether to buy from you or not. Like said before, unless its heavy like a waching machine or a fridge, i wouldnt ask for a shipping quote to buy a small item. A lot of others probably offer similar items.

Could you do some kind of flat rate shipping? I love flat rate postal boxes. Or come up with a shipping table that more or less leaves you ok no matter where you ship from. Maybe one order you lose a little but the next order you make a little.

Think about how a lot of catalogs do it, by total order $. Or do it by weight, total your weights up and use just one of your warehouse locations to calculate for that weight.

I agree that I wouldn't wait for a quote for a common item. I would for an unusual item or something that is very large.
