Order Question at Check Out?

How do I ask a question at check out...

for instance...delivery time desired?

I looked around but could not find this, I am sure it is simple, but it is on a per order basis.

Well, the way to do it is to add a new field to the checkout procedure similar to the delivery instruction field.

It is not all that simple.

These instructions come with no guarantees - they may have typos in them. The principle works and has worked on several sites - but the typos - who knows....

You can also add a note in the define_checkout file telling the customer they can add comments when they want to have their products delivered. The comments field is for this kind of comments about the order and its delivery. So why an extra text area?

The idea here is to make a restaurant delivery store; the desired time of delivery should be hardwired, I think.

Well, you can either use the existing 'delivery instructions' box as tino suggested or if you need a new box then you can add a new one but that takes a bit of work.

You can change the text 'delivery instructions' to something like ' delivery time and place' easily.
