Trying not to get the header to reload every time - frames?

Hi!
One thing my customers have noticed with my store is that they hate how the header has to reload every time. The only way I can figure a way around this is through the use of frames.

1) Is there a way to have my header not reload every time a customer clicks a new link on my page?
2) If I make a frameset for zencart, I would need to re-customize all of my links, right?
3) Is there a way to globally adjust all links to target="mainframe" or something of that nature?

The only way I can figure a way around this is through the use of frames.

DO NOT use a frame!!! Very antiquated codeing and you will break many of the functions - - specifically the purchasing - - which is paramount to a cart - - right?
