Zen Cart and ProStores / eBay

Hello, the company I work for sells quite a bit on eBay. We are currently thinking of going the way of ProStores.com but I have used and very much like Zen Cart. Whenever possible (which is almost always) I use OpenSource software so Zen Cart is one of my top choices.

If it is possible to use Zen Cart instead of ProStores, and achieve the same result, here are my questions:

Has anyone used Zen Cart strictly for setting up a store to display their current eBay auctions and allow buyers to pay using Zen Cart? If so, how well did it go. Were there any pros or cons that you think of that someone first stepping into using Zen Cart with eBay should know?

How much did you have to get support on the forums or elsewhere to get things up and running how you wanted them?

Any input on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

There is at least one mod in Free Addons for connecting Zen Cart with eBay.
