Default Modify items in existing order or variable pricing

Hope these are a simple questions. The shop owner has many custom features that must be individually priced. So ...

    1. Can the admin add items to an order that has already been submitted?
    2. Does Zen Cart allow buyer to enter their own price for an item?

    Thanks

I think it would be a very bad idea to allow customers to set their own price for an item--how do you prevent everyone from getting everything at a discount or free?

There is a mod to allow you to edit most every aspect of orders. Find it here.

It sounds like you might want to look into using the zencart feature of product attributes as an even better solution.

Thanks for the link - I'll take a look. Seems like this workflow just might have to be a custom mod. I see your point in general on open pricing for just any product. However, this is only for a single item, in this case "customize clothing". This will change with each order and must be set by the store owner. If the buyer enters an incorrect price, the store owner will not accept the order.

Without knowing more about the pricing and item, you might be able to do that with attributes which will automatically set the pricing.

The link I posted earlier is for an auction product which allows buyers to bid on an item. That probably doesn't apply to what you want to do, but look around in the pricing section of the free add-ons.
