Greetings...

I am the lead webmaster for a project i have been working on for one of my clients. Over the past month or so i have made NUMEROUS modification to the site. Mostly configuring side boxes and editing min and max values. As of recently I also have been messing around with some of the CSS style sheet files...i dont EVER edit the core zen cart code if anything i use overrides religiously. I am running Zen Cart 1.3.8a.

This is what is happening. I am unable to add any new products.
Let me further elaborate. I can add new categories ie.."Test" via admin console and it inserts fine. If i then pick that category "test" while navigating the site...it will load fine and just say there are NO products in this category. Now heres the issue...if i now go add a new product..ie.."test prod" within the formally created category "Test" and then try and navigate to category "Test" on the web site the page hangs. It wont load AT ALL.

Let me share some of the things I have done to try and figure out what is going on.

I have tried putting products into a New Category ie.."Test" and leaving out various combination's of information..ie i wont add a product description or product quantity or ill leave out a product image and so forth. Suffice to say, this issue has nothing to do with any corruption in the action of product description, prices, sales, images and so forth

I then noticed that if i disable (not delete) "test prod" in Category "Test." The page will load...and tell me "There are no products to list in this category." and then right below it say "New Products For October - MENS FOOTWEAR" and then it actually shows the products (remember the product is disabled so this should not even happen). If you then click on this product it then loads and says "Sorry, the product was not found."

This issue has me absolutely stumped.

I have created a series of test categories and products to provide a link for each instance of what is going on.

Example 1
http://360urbanwear.com/index.php?ma...Path=24_72_197

As you can see here in category "Test 3" within Category Jordan within Mens Footwear....there is no product active or disabled in here and it loads fine as an empty category with no products to display

Example 2
http://360urbanwear.com/index.php?ma...Path=24_72_196

In this Example i have one active test product inside this Category "Test..." within Category Jordan within Mens Footwear....As you can see you are looking at a page that has failed to load and there are no error messages.

Example 3
http://360urbanwear.com/index.php?ma...Path=24_72_195

In this Example i have two DISABLED test products inside Category "Test 2..." within Category Jordan within Mens Footwear....And as you can see. It loads. Then states there are no products in this category (which it should being that they are disabled)...but then below goes on to show new products for October and then displays the two disabled products. (side note. I have never seen this "new products for "insert Month" so i dont even know what this is about)

I initially thought this was only affecting NEW CATEGORIES i tried to add...but it turns out some other random OLDER categories are also suffering from this problem.
i.e..

http://360urbanwear.com/index.php?ma...cPath=24_72_58

This is Category Air Jordan 7 within Category Jordan within Mens Footwear...This category is OLD very old.

So on top of the fact this issue is affecting about 3 old categories, as i stand i cannot add anything to the site. Well i can...but it wont work so thats as good as not being able to.

If any one has any clues please help..

the most recent back up is about 1 week old..so i really dont want to have to lose all i have done. in that time frame. And being that i don't really remember every single file i have modified it would be a supper pain to manually back up all folders and then use my back up and then try and figure out wat changes were lost.

Do you guys think this problem is being caused by a css file? i doubt it...because then it wldnt be only limited to New categories and some old ones.

Thanks guys....
