Adding an Image to the Homepage?

Hello,

I have added an image to the homepage of my new site. I added it through "define main page". It can be seen here: http://www.buyright.ie/store/ (work in progress)

What I would like to do is add the image so that it appears above the "centerColumn" or above the bordered white section which contains the main content.

I do not want it appearing inside the "centerColumn" (as it currently does) as it does not look as good.

Any help would be great.

You should have a look at:

includes/templates/yourtemplate/tpl_index_default.php

or

includes/templates/default_template/tpl_index_default.php

(If the first version does not exist you should create it by copying the second file to this position. Then you can edit the top version.)

It is pretty straight forward file so you should find your way around it. If you need more help just post again.

Thank you so much for your help, it worked perfectly.

I first tried editing the existing file "tpl_index_categories.php" but nothing happened.

I then created the file "tpl_index_default.php", added the image and it worked perfectly.

My only question is what is the difference between these two files?

One is used when category images are displayed on the home page and the other is used when category images are not displayed on the home page.

This is a setting in admin.
