Database needing patching

Hi,

I've updated my ZenCart to 1.3.8a, from 1.3.7. I currently have this error at the top of my admin pages:

Your database appears to need patching to a higher level. See Tools->Server Information to review patch levels.

which shows Database Patch Level: 1.3.7

Now, I followed the instructions for doing an upgrade. I made a new Database, populated it using phpMyAdmin from my original database, and then chose "Update Database" during install.

i had one error about linkpoint, but I 'm not using it, and I read somewhere that it can be ignored.

How do I SQL patch my database from 1.3.7 to 1.3.8a ?

(I don't know if this is related to my PayFlow Pro problem, posted earlier).

I wonder if I should just install a fresh 1.3.8a from scratch, instead of doing an update? It doesn't seem to be going so well

To upgrade the database you simply run the installer on your site, but select the upgrade option instead of installation.

I am using Zen Cart 1.3.8a with Database patch Level : 1.3.8 on my locallhost (Mac G4, MAMP install for MySQL, PHP, etc.). I get the message "Your database appears to need patching to a higher level. See Admin->Tools->Server Information to review patch levels."
Per numerous threads and searches I read about the upgrade using install_zc, which I tried. Unfortunately, there is no newer patch than 1.3.8 so there is nothing to upgrade to. Any suggestions?
