showing define name, HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG, not text

Upgrading from 1.3.6 to 1.3.8a. Completely new code install, re-applying template changes manually.

Everything is working except it's not picking up the strings of all the define statements in */includes/languages/* (HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG, HEADER_TITLE_LOGIN, etc.).

The DEFINE names are being displayed on both the default template and the one I'm developing. I've seen this before, I know it's something obvious. (long day, fried brain)

Searched and searched, not finding anything.

The file containing those constants was edited incorrectly. Check the contents.

php is very picky sometimes. When a constant (something in all caps) is displayed, it's usually a sign that a boo-boo was made in the editing. Those can be really hard to find, but they're easy to fix once you force them out of hiding.
