red flag How to reinstall a Zencart using your backups?

I know this has been covered but I can't find the threads covering this topic. I

Do to a hack, I have installed a full and fresh installation of zen cart on a new mysql database. I'm working with a fresh install of the most recent version of zencart 1.3.88.

I had a fully functional 50 product ecommerce site and I don't want to start again from scratch.

I have two backups to work with.
    1. I have a outdated full backup from several months back.

    2. A full backup of my site from several days ago. This is a broken cart, since I broke it trying to change the passwords/security in reaction to this hack attempt.

I'm looking for the following information.
    1. How to upload full or partial backups. And what are the Different options: i.e full vs. partial. I would like to use FTP. I don't know anything about MyPHP

    2. Can I select files from one of backups and FTP and overwrite only select files?
Particularly, those files which would be very time consuming to recreate. For example, the style sheet, product catalog, images, and custom pages.

If the answer to the question #2 is, YES....
Is there a folder/ file structure diagram or list indicting in which files the bulk of my customiztion can be found?

    For example,

The custom style sheet can be found:

    public_html\includes\templets\custom(your_templet)

The product images can be found...

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Default Re: How to reinstall a Zencart using your backups?

    Also I should mention, I first tried to restore the site: As described here;
    https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=100

Even after installing the Cache Patch I continued to receive the message that the store couldn't connect to the database.

I then did a fresh install.
