    Default PayPal is not working - (7) couldn't connect to host

    I have 1.3.8a installed with PayPal Website Payment Pro and PayPal Express. PayPal has been working for a few years, but in the last couple of days, I keep getting this e-mail:
    ALERT: PayPal Express Checkout Error () [or ALERT: PayPal Direct Payment Error ( <!-- -->)]
    - (7) couldn't connect to host

    I called PayPal and they said that the transactions were not reaching them, so it is being stopped by ZenCart.

    I have tried Removing and re-Installing both Express and Pro.

    Any ideas? I am loosing sells, please help.

    "(7) - Couldn't connect to host" is a problem on your own webserver. So, contact your hosting company about it. It's not a PayPal or Zen Cart problem.

    Thank you DrByte for your time. Powweb is having issues with their server connecting with 3rd parties.

    I am having the same issue so I started running some test orders. The first went through with no problems. During the second order I started playing with the edit billing address and edit shipping address options during checkout. Afterwards, when I went to Confirm Checkout, I got the (7) couldn't connect to host error.

    So is it definitly still a hosting company issue.
