Flash (alternating image) on main page?

I wasn't sure on which forum to post this in, so I put it here.

I want to have a Flash (alternating image) on my main page like this one they have here. Or something similiar. Kind of like a slideshow with links i guess

Is there any add-on that can do this for me?

Note. My site has been live for a few months now.

Looks like they are using "XML Flash Slideshow v3", so you might try googling for that. Alternatively, Dynamic Drive has a free javascript "Ultimate Fade-in Slideshow" that works nicely.

that one from dynamic drive worked perfectly. exactly what i was looking for.

super easy install too. just add the image url and edit the code a bit for links n such, and bam...done

I would like to have this script inserted into my main page so I can have different images of products rotating with a description below each image. I noticed dynamicdrive.com has upgraded the script to ver 2.1 and looks like a different code than what has been posted within this thread.

I understand that the javascript needs to be placed within the custom template/jscript file, but do I need to alter this script to call my images and if so, how would I need to do this?

Then the html code to call the script inserts into the main page??

Please help me with step be step instructions...I'm a new zenner and scripts is new to me...but we can come to an understanding relationship once I get to know alittle bit more about it...

I'm glad you asked about this! The former version of this script didn't have the ability to show captions, and I was thinking about trying out a different slideshow for a website where we already use the former one.
So I will have to download and test the new v2.1, and will post my findings. It appears to be a good bit different in the implementation than before.

In the most basic aspect, yes, you will need to alter the script's boilerplate variable lists to refer to your images with their desired properties.

UPDATE:

I just wanted to share with everyone that I have got the script working in my site that is posted within the thread at http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...t=66271&page=2.

I copied SuperSnows script and tweaked the script and image links for the site I have it on. I used Photoshop to alter the images so I could add text beside the image and uploaded. Once I have all of the images and the site completed I will post the end results, but the main thing now is that it is working!!!

I want to thank SuperSnow for having posted the script because Dymanicdrive.com has updated the script to something I do not know how to do...just yet.

Glenn...if you figure out how to use the new script, please let us know. Thanks again for helping.
