    Default bandwidth

    Hi
I am sure this must have been asked before but I cant find an answer.

How much transfer bandwidth would a reasonably successful shop require form a hosting point of view?

    Thanks
    Steve

It's really unanswerable. It would depend on so many factors, including

    Number of categories
    Number of products
Number and file size of images
Obviously, number of visitors and number of sales. I don't know what 'reasonably successful' means to you.

Most good hosts will allow you to add to your bandwidth allotment on the fly, so start with a package that seems OK and up it if necessary.

Suggest you start at around 8 GB, then add as needed.
