Advice on advanced search system...

Im at the moment setting up a shop for car parts, but trying to figure out if its possible to have a search system similar to this...

so it would be something like, year, car manufacture, model, then all products corresponding to that vehicle. or even...

category, car manufacturer, model, then year?

I understand its quite an advanced search system, but would anyone have an idea of how the categories would be populated within zen cart? hoping if I can find someone to create a search system then I can use something like Easy Populate Advanced to populate the database.

IM sure ive seen it done before on a zencart shop, but cant find it now

Any advise would be great
