Have zen cart running here in Europe (2 language), and the cut off for free shipping is EUR50. Above 50 free shipping kicks in.
Problem is with non EU countries like Switzerland the shipping is absurdly high, so I need to exempt Austria and Switzerland from free shipping. How to do that? Not afraid of altering core code....

Altering of core code would be totally unnecessary. Just create a zone with the countries where the shipping method is allowed and restrict the shipping method to that zone. All doable via the Admin menus.
