    Default EZ-Pages HTML Area

I can't believe that I am getting stumped by the simplest of things.
I want to start adding pages of interest to my store using the EZ-Pages feature. I have read some tutorials about this but it would seem that one vital feature seems to be missing.
I select HTML Area in the Text Editor drop down menu. I click on New at the bottom and where the HTML Content box is there is supposed to be a formatting panel just like you would find in a word processor to edit fonts, colour etc (you know what I mean.) But I don't have one. I start typing in the content box and nothing appears.
So whats going on? Can anyone help me with this?
    Many thanks, John.

John, what do you have set in Admin > Configuration > My Store > HTML Editor?

Please select the HTML/Rich-Text editor you wish to use for composing Admin-related emails, newsletters, and product descriptions
The default options available are Plain Text and HTML Area.

Thank you both for your replies. I am using IE, I wouldn't use Firefox even if someone paid me. I have it installed but got fed up with it keep crashing.

I have looked at my HTML Editor settings in My Store and it was set to NONE. From the drop down list I have two choices, Plain Text or HTML Area. I have tried both settings but without success. I would be interested to know what settings you have and what needs to be done to get things up and running.

    All the best, John.

go to Tools > E-Z Pages

There should be a dropdown box above the right hand column box. Right above "Title: 'ez page title' ". (or to the right of the "display order" tab)

Make sure that dropdown box ALSO says HTMLarea. Hope this helps.

p.s. I also had the same problem with firefox but their new updates seem to make the browser run well! =)

Thanks inertia ini, unfortunately it still doesn't work. I tried Firefox just to see but it doesn't work either. I am wondering if it is web browser setting or perhaps I need to install a html editor into zen cart?

    Cheers, John.

Upload (FTP) the " editors " folder again. You may have a duffy install of HTMLArea.

Then, check all switches in admin panel to turn on the editor.
