Images not displaying correctly

Zen Cart version 1.38a
New Install - not really live yet
No addons that I know of (my programmer left the company and left this unfinished so am not totally sure)
My programmer installed a template that he called new_template that I believe we are using.

Apache install (cPanel) but installed from scratch
PHP 5.2.6
MySQL - 5.0.67-community

but I am loving this shopping cart!! Am wanting to use it in several more places! So thank you!

Problem: want to display 3 different sized images - have small and large working correctly when you can actually see them.
For example: Membership Booster - shows small picture where medium should be and then I can click on larger image and get the correct 500 x 500 size to show up correctly.
But try clicking on membership individual and no medium picture at all - just the one that shows inside the shopping cart.
I have the following pictures in
images/individual-mbshp.jpg
images/medium/individual-mbsp_MED.jpg
images/large/individual-mbsp_LRG.jpg

I have tried a multitude of things - include saving without dashes, saving all lowercase, etc.

I have also looked in the mySQL file and when the images are pulling from the medium directory, they show but not the correct size. When they are pulling from the images root, they don't show at all. And I can't get to the large image.

Any help would be most appreciated.

I have now discovered that it happens to be a problem with the template. When I change to a different template, the images show up as they are supposed to.

I believe they are not showing because the file in /includes/templates/new_testing/templates/tpl_modules_main_product_image.php

has commented out the section that shows the main image.

However, when I uncomment that section, nothing shows up at all.

So - now my question becomes - do I need to go back and modify the Classic Template to make it work again or do I figure out what's wrong in this file?

I'm not sure how to proceed at this point.

Again - any help would be appreciated.
