Is it easy to move the zen-cart from a machine to another?

Hello,

I am creating a zen-cart based e-shop for my stores. The thing is, that while I am capable with UNIX (enough), working on the remote server (dreamhost) is a pain in the ######, because no matter what my speed, it "lags".

I have a mac mini running Tiger (OSX). I'm going to configure and design the store and the MySQL tables and everything under that server which sits on my LAN.

Will it be easy to migrate the store once everything is installed or no?

I will need to change paths but I'm not sure how easily will be the migration. There is a guide about adding SSL layer later on, but what for the rest?

The MySQL is the easy part "just a dump"...

Anyone ever did it?

ps. I could even clone the same options in order to make the migration more easy.

It will be pretty easy, and has been done many thousands of times by others (fewer for mac than for windows, I expect).
See the tutorials about moving your site to a different host, which is essentially what you will be doing. The main critical change is altering paths in your configure.php files to reflect the new location.
