I started using Group Mail before (Free Edition), it was great if you had only about 100 or so subscribers but it got to be too tedious to create once my subscriber list went up to 500! On the Free Edition, you can only import 100 email addresses at a time.

So I went back to using the newsletter notification on zen cart. Of course I started getting problems when my list grew to 900. So I looked around for something else I could use.

This is the stripped down, no nonsense nifty little bulk email sender I found and best of all it is FREE.

Don't look for any frills and whistles on this program. It does it's job efficiently though. You can create both text and html newsletters. The image files have to be hosted on your site.

You can use your SMTP to send this out. It works on the desktop. It also disconnects from the server after every 100 messages (you can change this on set up) then reconnects to finish the job.

The problems I found on this are: You can't save the newsletter so you will have to save it elsewhere then copy and paste it. Also I found that the CC and BCC doesn't seem to be working. So you might want to include your email on the recipients list or else create a test recipient to send to before sending the bulk emails.

Use Email Exporter module in conjunction with this program. Export your emails as TXT then import into this program.

Anyway, I have tested it and it works well for me. So I hope it helps some other zenners out there!
